David Rizik

Dr. David Rizik is board-certified in interventional cardiology and cardiology. He is founder and medical director of the HonorHealth Heart Group-Shea and serves as Chief Scientific Officer, Director of Structural & Coronary Interventions, and Pillar Chief of Cardiology at HonorHealth. He was awarded the designation Master Interventionalist from the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI) in 2018.  A distinguished researcher in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease, Dr. Rizik has published more than 100 manuscripts and book chapters.  He is the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program Director at HonorHealth, faculty member of the internal medicine and family practice residency program as well as a faculty member at Midwestern University. Dr. Rizik completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oaks, MI.  He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital at Washington University in St Louis and received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine.  Dr. Rizik is a two-time Emmy Award winner for his medical education series “The Procedure”.
