Roxana Mehran, MD, FACC, is currently a Professor of Medicine, Cardiology, Professor of Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York; also Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has led the development of a globally respected data and clinical coordination center to support large, multicenter, multinational clinical trials designed, by her team, to help clinicians improve outcomes and quality of life for patients undergoing interventional cardiovascular procedures. Her work has had a special emphasis on gaining a deeper understanding of anticoagulation, antiplatelet regimens post angioplasty and transcatheter valve replacement; and collection and interpretation of sex-specific data in cardiovascular clinical trials.

Optimizing PCI (O-PCI) is a series of educational meetings dedicated to helping cardiologists optimize decision-making in interventional cardiac procedures using state-of-the-art intravascular imaging and physiology technologies.
