Program Overview

This program offers an opportunity for interventional cardiologists to observe cases with experts at St. Francis Hospital.
Through procedural instruction and peer-to-peer case observation, attendees will learn about customizing vessel preparation through image guidance and utilizing the full portfolio of preparation techniques to optimize drug-coated balloon delivery and outcomes.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  • Effectively utilize intravascular imaging with the AVVIGO+ system to assess lesion morphology to guide procedural decision-making.
  • Articulate appropriate utilization of the full suite of preparation devices and techniques – from NC and cutting balloons to atherectomy and lithotripsy.
  • Select appropriate clinical scenarios where drug-coated balloon may provide the best patient outcomes.

This educational activity is designed for Interventional Cardiologists involved in the management of complex coronary artery disease and who desire increased knowledge on clinical decision-making and use of drug-coated balloons as part of a robust PCI practice.
