Troels Hojsgaard Jorgensen

Troels Højsgaard Jørgensen is a cardiologist at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, and holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen in 2015 and completed his PhD at the Heart Centre, Rigshospitalet, in 2019. He is a board-certified specialist in Cardiology and Internal Medicine in Denmark. In his clinical work, Dr. Jørgensen primarily focuses on structural heart disease, with particular expertise in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). His research is focused on patients with grown-up congenital heart disease and structural interventional cardiology, particularly TAVI across the spectrum of surgical risk and age. His areas of research include outcomes following TAVI, conduction disturbances and pacemaker implantation, antithrombotic therapy and subclinical leaflet thrombosis, valve durability, and the comparison of transcatheter and surgical aortic valve replacement. He has been closely involved in several investigator-initiated randomized trials, including the NOTION, NOTION-2, NOTION-3 and NOTION-4 trials, and has published extensively in the field.
