Simone Biscaglia, MD, is Associate Professor of Cardiology at the University of Ferrara
and an interventional cardiologist at the University Hospital of Ferrara, Italy. His clinical
and research interests focus on myocardial infarction, multivessel coronary disease,
coronary physiology, and evidence-based optimization of PCI. He is a principal
investigator of the FIRE and AIR-STEMI randomized trials, whose findings have
contributed to refining the management of non-culprit coronary lesions in patients with
acute myocardial infarction.
