Kristin Pasquarello
Administrative director of the Heart Valve Center
St. Francis Hospital
Due to her level of expertise within structural heart disease, Kristin has served as a faculty member for various vendors, helping train and educate other valve program coordinators on how they can improve program operations and patient outcomes. She has served on several advisory boards for healthcare administrators and has been invited to speak internationally.
Further, Kristin has transformed many TAVR programs around the country while ensuring her own patients get the best care and treatment options available. In fact, she is often called the “Queen of TAVR” at these programs. She also helped write the blueprint on starting and advancing TAVR centers/clinics.
Kristin’s selfless dedication to her role and her demand for excellence are truly contagious. After starting off as a physician assistant at Columbia, she rose to run the heart valve center at St. Francis and has successfully grown the program each year. The center is now a Top 5 Center of Excellence.
Kristin received the first ACC accreditation for TAVR in the state of New York and achieved 3-Star rating for public reporting. Only a select group of sites in the nation have received this certification, and St. Francis has maintained it each year. Due to Kristin’s recognized expertise and national profile, St. Francis is also considered a national clinic observation site, meaning other hospitals come from around the country to learn from her.
As if all of this is not enough, Kristin has earned her success while being a devoted mother of two.
