Dr. Kambis Mashayekhi, a globally recognized interventional cardiologist, received his training at the esteemed Heart Center in Bad Neustadt, Germany. From 2009 to 2016, he held influential positions as a senior consultant and deputy chief physician at Helios Vogtland Clinic in Plauen, Germany. In 2012, he assumed leadership of the chronic total occlusion (CTO) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging program, further solidifying his international standing. His membership in the EuroCTO Club since 2013 and his reputation as a world-renowned CTO specialist underscore his global recognition. In 2016, he was appointed as the deputy chief physician at the University of Interventional Cardiology Department at the Heart Center Freiburg - Bad Krozingen, where he led the Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) and Complex Interventions with Higher Risk and Indications (CHIP) program, overseeing over 600 CTO procedures. Since 2022, he has been the esteemed medical director of the Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Heart Center Lahr, Germany.

He has served as the head of the CTO working group of the German Society of Cardiology for many years, driving advancements in the field. Currently, he is the president of the EuroCTO Club (2023-2026), a position that reflects his global influence. He also serves as the course co-director of MLCTO, Euro-CTO, CTO and CHIP Germany and a board member of EuroPCR, further demonstrating his dedication to shaping the future of interventional cardiology.
