Julinda Mehilli

Since September 2020, Prof. Mehilli has served as Director of the Department of Cardiology, Pulmonology and Intensive Care Medicine at LA-Regio Clinics, Clinica Landshut-Achdorf, Germany. Previously, she was Leading Interventional Cardiology at Munich University Hospital (2012–2020) and at the German Heart Center Munich, Technical University of Munich (2010–2012). From 2001 to 2012, she was Co-Director of the Intracoronary Stenting and Antithrombosis Research Center (ISAR) at the German Heart Center Munich.
She has held numerous leadership positions within the European Society of Cardiology and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions including Treasurer of EAPCI, and Founder and Chair of the EAPCI WOMEN Working Group. She has contributed to several ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines, including those on acute coronary syndromes, chronic coronary syndromes, and cardiovascular management of patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. In addition, she has held several national advisory positions within German cardiovascular and healthcare organizations.
Her scientific work focuses on interventional cardiology, coronary and structural, antithrombotic therapy, and cardiovascular clinical trials. She has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator of numerous investigator-initiated trials, including REBOOT-PARADOX, SASSICAIA, ISAR-REACT 4, ISAR-CABG, ISAR-LEFT-MAIN, ISAR-DESIRE 3, ISAR-TEST 5/6, BRAVE-4, and TROPICAL-ACS. Prof. Mehilli has authored 422 peer-reviewed publications and has an H-index of 102 (Scopus). Her editorial activities have included Associate Editor positions at the European Heart Journal and JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, as well as membership on the editorial boards of several leading cardiovascular journals.
