Dimitrios Bliagos
Associate Professor of Medicine

After graduating from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the junior Alpha Omega Alpha Society, Dr. Bliagos finished a medical internship and residency at New-York Presbyterian, Columbia University. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Albert-Einstein Montefiore Medical Center. He returned to New York Presbyterian, Columbia University to finish an Interventional Cardiology and endovascular fellowships.
Dr. Bliagos has a strong experience as a physician leader, where he first served as Associate Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at White Plains Hospital from 2011-2018, then as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Chief of Cardiology at White Plains Hospital until 2023.
Dr. Bliagos is now an associate professor of medicine at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. He is the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at NYU Langone Long Island and associate director of Interventional Cardiology for the NYU Langone Health System. His clinical interest and practice are concentrated in high-risk PCI, including chronic total occlusion PCI, surgical turndowns, Left Main PCI, cardiogenic shock and MCS.
