Ana Barac

Ana Barac, MD, PhD is a D’Aniello Chair and a Director of Cardio-Oncology for the Inova Health System, which includes the Inova Schar Cancer and the Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Institutes. She also serves as a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. Her clinical and research expertise include cardiovascular prevention and management of cardiovascular complications in patients receiving oncology therapies as well as the use of cardiac imaging. Dr. Barac was the founding Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Cardio-Oncology Council and founding co-director of the ACC's annual Live Course on Advancing Cardiovascular Care in Oncology patient. She has chaired Heart House Roundtables on Cardiovascular Disease and Cancer Treatment and has been a member of multidisciplinary professional society guidelines and consensus documents addressing cardiovascular concerns in patients with cancer. She currently serves as the Chair of the ACC Science and Quality Committee and Chair Elect of the American Heart Association Cardio-Oncology Committee.
